Japanese Papers
GENERAL INFO - An assortment of hand- and machine-made papers from Japan, made from Kozo (mulberry)
fiber. Our handmade Mino papers are board dried resulting in dimensionally stable, strong,
yet soft papers. These papers are also known as “Kizuki” papers. Our machine-made Tenguko
and Miso papers are first prepared by hand then carefully produced by machine to
provide consistent and strong papers. All our Japanese papers are naturally bleached by
sun, snow or water for ultimate purity. No sizing is added. Our Masa heavy weight paper is produced from Kozo fiber and sulphite pulp and includes
an internal neutral sizing. This paper features one smooth side and one textured side, and
is an excellent choice for backing large artwork and for use as an artist’s paper.
